Loyola-Chicago at Dayton – 1/31/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Dayton Flyers and the Loyola Chicago Ramblers will meet in AAC action from the CBSSN on the CBSSN. Dayton and Loyola split their lone two meetings back in 1992-93.

Loyola Chicago dropped to 7-13 after losing to Duquesne in Pittsburgh. The Ramblers blew the halftime lead after squandering for just 18 second half points, and lost to the Dukes by 14 points. Loyola couldn’t follow up their first A10 win in school history and they’ll enter Dayton looking for just their second victory outside of Chicago. The Ramblers have been a mess since the start of conference play, and it’s unlikely change with this tough matchup. Philip Alston has been solid in his first year with Loyola, and after going for a season-high 25 points against Duquense, he leads the team in scoring (14.6) and rebounding (5.7). Veteran point guard and one of the final pieces from the recent glory years Braden Norris is averaging 10.3 ppg, and a team-lead 4.1 apg.
