The Louisville Cardinals take to the road on Monday night to take on the Duke Blue Devils in ACC action. It has been a forgettable season for the Louisville Cardinals this season. The Cardinals have won just four games this season and only two in the ACC. On Saturday, however, Louisville picked up its biggest win of the season with an 83-73 upset win over Clemson at home. Guard El Ellis finished with 28 points to help the Cardinals' cause and forward JJ Traynor finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in the win over a Clemson team that is fighting for the ACC title.
“They couldn't have picked a better night where the fan support was unbelievable,” UofL head coach Kenny Payne said. “They got to do it in front of a championship team. The championship team is in the locker room with them right now celebrating. They picked a great night, unbelievable night, unbelievable fan support, unbelievable energy in the building. The way they played, the fight they played with. We're going to make mistakes, b ut we can make up for it with effort and energy.”

Louisville's win on Saturday has certainly been the highlight of one of the worst seasons ever for the Cardinals' basketball program. The team is just 14th in the ACC in scoring offense thus far. They are 14th in field goal percentage and seventh in 3pt field goal percentage. Defensively, Louisville is last in the ACC in scoring defense and next to last in field goal percentage. In addition, the Cardinals are 13th in the ACC in 3pt defense. They are last in fewest turnovers per game and just 12th in total rebounds.
