A pair of ACC rivals are on the floor as they clash in search of a victory in the Palmetto State. The Louisville Cardinals are on the road as they make the trip south to take on the Clemson Tigers Tuesday night. Louisville comes in off a 69-52 road loss to Virginia in their previous contest, failing to cover the line as a nine-point underdog. Clemson was edged 72-71 on the road by #12 Duke Saturday in their previous game, though they covered the line as a 7.5-point underdog. In the all-time series between the programs, the Cardinals own a 9-5 advantage, including an 83-73 home victory in the most recent matchup on February 18, 2023.

Louisville lost their fifth straight and their eighth in the last nine games as they were dropped on the road by Louisville in their previous game Saturday. The Cardinals dropped to 6-14 overall and stand in the basement of the ACC with a 1-8 conference mark this season. Against Virginia, Louisville trailed 11-0 five minutes into the game and never recovered. The Cardinals were down 41-13 at the half and trailed by as many as 30 in the second half while not getting closer than the final margin en route to the loss. Louisville shot 35.7% from the field, including three of 11 from three-point range, and turned the ball over 18 times in the loss. Tre White led the Cardinals with 10 points in the loss.

The Cardinals enter the game 247th in scoring offense with 71.9 points per contest this season. Louisville is 250th in the nation in rebounding with 34.7 per contest while the team is 331st in Division I by dishing out 11.1 assists per contest.
