The Louisville Cardinals and Florida State Seminoles face off Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Donald L. Tucker Center. When these two teams faced off in January it was Florida State that secured the 79-70 victory. Both of these teams have been disappointing this season and might not have manny more chances for victories.
Louisville has been awful to start the season and there are questions about when this team will win it’s first game. They come into this game with an 0-8 record and they have gone 0-8 against the spread. In the last game against the Miami Hurricanes the offense could only manage 53 points, and that led to another defeat. Louisville is averaging 57.4 points while their defense is giving up 73.9 points per game. El Ellis has been the top player for Louisville averaging 15.6 points while shooting 36.7 percent from the field.
On the other side of this matchup is Florida State who sits with a 1-9 record and they have gone 3-7 against the spread. In the last game against Virginia they were competitive, but they couldn’t make enough plays late and ended up losing by five points. The Seminoles are averaging 65.5 points while their defense is giving up 74.4 points per game. The offense and defense are both ranked under 300th in college basketball. Guard Darin Green Jr is averaging 13.1 points while shooting 42.5 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from behind the three point line.
