The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will head to Tudor Fieldhouse on Thursday night in a Conference USA matchup against the Rice Owls. The Bulldogs are 8-6 (1-2) right now and are coming off a 68-66 road loss on Saturday against the Charlotte 49ers. The Owls are 11-3 (2-1) so far and are riding a five-game winning streak after a 72-67 overtime road win over the UTEP Miners on Saturday. These teams will also play on February 2 so this will be an interesting test to set the tone. 

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have been playing well, but lost on the road 68-66 against the Charlotte 49ers. They had a decent scoring night as they scored at least 32 points in each half. They shot the ball very well as they were 24-of-57 (42.1 percent) overall, 11-of-24 (45.8 percent) from the three, and 12 free-throw attempts. Junior guard Cobe Williams led the team as in 35 minutes he finished with 21 points, two rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two turnovers. Defensively, they were brutal as they allowed 53.3 percent from the floor and 38.9 from deep here. Louisiana Tech did okay at best as they finished with seven steals and zero blocks throughout the game. 

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are doing extremely well this season as they are 73rd in the nation with 77.7 points per game thus far and shooting a solid 46.1 percent from the floor, but are averaging 14.9 assists per game.
