First of all, I'm expecting a lot of points here. Louisiana Tech is giving up a whopping 42.3 points per game (No. 127) while North Texas isn't much better, surrendering 38.2 PPG (No. 119).
That's a trend that extends to the C-USA rivals' all-time history. The last eight Louisiana Tech-North Texas matchups have seen an average total of 60.9 points, hitting over this week's 67.5-point total in four of the last seven collisions.
As far as the victor goes, it's hard to go against Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs have won nine of their last 11 meetings against the Mean Green, with six of those victories coming by at least two possessions. That's on top of the fact that Louisiana Tech has never lost a road game to North Texas.
Taking the above into account, I'm comfortable with taking Lousiana Tech at +6.5 on the spread, as well as the total hitting over 67.5 points.
