The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (2-5) and the Florida International Panthers (3-4) square off on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Riccardo Silva Stadium in a clash of C-USA foes.
The Bulldogs took on the Rice Owls in their most recent outing, falling 42-41. The Panthers’ last outing ended in a 34-15 win over the Charlotte 49ers. Against the Owls, Matthew Downing led the Bulldogs with 159 yards on 12-of-24 passing (50.0%) for two touchdowns and one interception. He also carried the ball 10 times for 27 yards. Marquis Crosby took 14 carries for 87 yards (6.2 yards per carry), while adding one reception for one yard in the passing game. Tre Harris had eight receptions for 92 yards (11.5 per catch) and three touchdowns against the Owls. Grayson James threw for 306 yards for the Panthers against the 49ers, going 26-for-34 (76.5%) with one touchdown and one interception. He added 10 carries for 53 yards and two touchdowns. In that matchup, Lexington Joseph had a 17-carry, 72-yard game (4.2 yards per attempt) with two touchdowns. Tyrese Chambers collected 10 catches for 143 yards (on 13 targets).
The Panthers are 6.5-point underdogs against the Bulldogs (the game has a total of 58.5 points).
