The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and Texas Tech Red Raiders face off on Monday in a college basketball showdown at the United Supermarkets Arena. When these two teams faced off in 2007 it was Texas Tech that secured the 86-31 victory.
Texas Tech comes into this game with a 2-0 record overall. In the first game, the Red Raiders beat Northwestern State 73-49 and in the last game, they beat Texas Southern 78-54. The offense has looked good, but more impressive has been the defense that has locked down each of the first two opponents. In the last game, Texas Southern had only three players that scored at least 12 points. Kevin Obanor finished with 13 points and seven rebounds in only 17 minutes of play.
On the other side of this matchup is Louisiana Tech who has one win on the season. In their only game of the season against Mississippi College, they were able to secure a 78-61 victory. At halftime, they were up 43-26 and they never looked back. Keaton Willis had a nice game finishing with 20 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Cobe Williams also had a strong game finishing with 16 points and four rebounds. Louisiana Tech is a team that wants to shoot from deep and in game one they had 29 shots from behind the three-point line.
