In Thursday night college football action, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will travel to M. M. Roberts Stadium to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. On Saturday, Louisiana rolled up 552 yards of total offense during a 38-18 home victory versus Arkansas State.
Louisiana QB Ben Wooldridge shredded the Arkansas State secondary for 316 passing yards and five touchdowns. WR Jacob Bernard caught five passes for 97 yards and a touchdown for the Ragin' Cajuns.'
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles are one of three teams with one loss in the Sun Belt Conference West Division and are allowing 21.9 points per game. On Saturday, Southern Miss committed three turnovers and still managed to escape with a 20-14 road victory against Texas State. The Golden Eagles (4-3) stymied the Bobcats to negative six yards rushing and 2-for-14 on third downs.
Southern Miss trailed by one point with 81 seconds remaining and Chandler Pittman changed the outcome on a 53-yard touchdown reception from Zach Wilke. Frank Gore Jr. added 91 rushing yards on 20 carries to spoil homecoming for the Bobcats.
