Louisiana at Louisiana-Monroe – 9/24/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns and Louisiana Monroe Warhawks face off on Saturday in a Week 4 college football showdown at Malone Stadium.

Louisiana comes into this game with a 2-1 record overall but they are coming off a very disappointing loss in the last game. Against Rice, Louisiana scored 21 points, but the defense gave up 33 points and that led to the 12-point defeat. Louisiana is averaging 31.3 points while their defense is giving up 20.3 points per game. Louisiana has been using two quarterbacks this season and it’s expected both quarterbacks will play here. Chandler Fields completed 7 of his 14 passes for 38 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Ben Wooldridge completed six of his 14 passes for 76 yards. Whoever gets the most playing time in this game is going to need to have a big game. The offense can’t struggle or they will lose this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Louisiana Monroe who sits with a 1-2 record overall but the two losses were against Alabama and Texas. The one win came against Nicholls State and the defense was strong giving up only seven points. Under center for the Warhawks in that game was Chandler Rogers and he completed 20 of his 25 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns. In the last game against Alabama, he completed 11 of his 21 passes for 96 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Louisiana Monroe is averaging 17.3 points which is 118th in college football.
