The Los Angeles Rams (8-7; 9-5-1 ATS) are back on the East Coast, looking to keep the ball rolling. Awaiting them are the New York Giants (5-10; 6-8-1 ATS), freshly eliminated from the postseason. Sunday's battle is supposed to kick off at 1:00 p.m. EDT, in New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. These teams haven't met since 2021, but the Rams have taken three straight contests. That includes two trips to East Rutherford. Will Los Angeles add another win to the streak, or are the Giants going to throw a wrench in their playoff plans?

A 5-1 stretch where the only loss came in overtime while visiting the Ravens is very impressive. Well, that's exactly how the Los Angeles Rams are traveling to New York for New Year's Eve. They've used an offense averaging 32.4 points per game across the past five to power the way. Matthew Stafford must love his offensive line, as they've only allowed 28 sacks all season (4th), and the Rams average 7.3 yards per pass attempt (10th) as a result. Meanwhile, Los Angeles is 10th in rushing yards and ninth in yards per carry this season. This group is also tied for the second-fewest giveaways all year. There's a lot to love about this Rams offense. No wonder they're top-10 in yards per play and points per game.

The defense hasn't been qu ite as strong this season, especially lately. In the past three games, the Rams' opponents have all reached 20 points. Those foes averaged 26.3 points per contest. The defense has the third-fewest takeaways and sixth-fewest sacks this season. They allow 5.3 yards per play (19th) and 22.1 points per game (19th). It isn't a disaster, but the defense is far from a strength. With a chance to clinch the playoffs this week hinging on a win (and Seahawks loss), they need to put together at least one strong performance before visiting San Francisco to close the season. Let's see if they have it in them.
