Los Angeles Rams vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 8-27-2022

The Los Angeles Rams (12-5, 8-9 ATS, 9-7 O/U) take on the Cincinnati Bengals (10-7, 10-7 ATS, 8-9 O/U) in a rematch of last year's Superbowl on Saturday night in Cincinnati. The Rams won the opener against the Chargers and lost a narrow one to the Texans last week. The Bengals lost to Arizona in their first action and dropped a 25-22 decision to the Giants in their second clash.

The Los Angeles Rams enter the preseason finale with a win and a loss. Matt Stafford has not seen any playing time and the veteran will not play in this one considering he is dealing with an elbow injury. John Wolford is the backup while Bryce Perkins is the #3. Wolford played half of Friday’s game against the Texans and was productive, collecting 142 passing yards. Perkins was fantastic, posting 113 yards and averaged 9.5 yards per pass attempt. The 25-year-old QB now has 256 passing yards in two preseason games.

The Rams have a few injuries to the backfield. Cam Akers is out with injury and Darrell Henderson Jr. is also dealing with one as well. Neither is expected to play. Look to see plenty of third-string RB Jake Funk and Kyren Williams who was a fifth-round pick. Funk has 16 rushing yards in preseason play.

The Rams have a great receiving core. They lost Odell Beckham Jr. and Robert Woods but added Allen Robinson. They have a few young WRs capable of damage if they play in this final game including second-year players in Benny Skowronek and Tutu Atwell.

The Rams' defense allowed 312 total yards against the Chargers in the opener and only 274 yards against the Texans. They have solid depth at most defensive positions although Von Miller departed. They did add veteran linebacker, Bobby Wagner from the Seahawks.

Los Angeles posted an average of 27.1 points in 2021, landing them eighth overall. The defense allowed an average of 21.9 points, good for 15th in the NFL.
