The Los Angeles Lakers limp into Detroit with two losses in their last three games including a 138-94 loss in Philadelphia on Monday night. The loss was the most lopsided defeat for the Lakers in their history against the Sixers as well as the most lopsided loss for LeBron James in his career. James finished the game with 18 points but failed to grab a rebound in the game. Anthony Davis finished with a double-double for the Lakers with 17 points and 11 rebounds but the game was never in doubt for Philadelphia.

“What needs to change in order for that to not happen again? A lot,” James said, without elaboration.

The Lakers will need to regroup on Wednesday night and Detroit may be the perfect opponent to do so against. The Lakers are 17th in the NBA in points per game thus far. They are 3rd in field goal percentage but just 25th in 3-point field goal percentage. Th e Lakers are last in the NBA in percentage of points from the 3-point shot. On the defensive end, the Lakers are 11th in points allowed per game. They are sixth in defensive field goal percentage and 11th in 3-point defense. The Lakers are just 21st in turnovers per game. They are slightly above average in rebounding, ranked 12th in the league.

Key Injuries: SF Cam Reddish (groin), PF Rui Hachimura (face), PG Gabe Vincent (knee) are out. PF Jarred Vanderbilt (heel) is questionable
