NFL Show

The (10-12) Los Angeles Lakers will pay a visit to the (15-9) Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday for an Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference showdown. LA is 4-1 in its past five, with consecutive wins over Portland, Milwaukee, and Washington. It defeated the Wizards 130-119 on Sunday. Cleveland is 3-2 over its past five. The Cavs lost to New York 92-81 on Sunday. Tip-off from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game total is 224 points, and Cleveland is a four-point spread favorite.

The Lakers are back on track, winning three straight with a new lineup. Star forward Anthony Davis has been reinvigorated, averaging 35.3 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks over the past nine games, a 7-2 winning stretch for LA. He shot under 60 percent just once and hasn't shot below 50 percent over that stretch. Davis dropped 55 points on Sunday, shooting 73.3 percent from the floor and 9-for-9 from the foul line. He's been the catalyst for Los Angeles' success and once again looks like one of the league's elite players.

He isn't the only Laker who has been playing better lately, as Russell Westbrook has looked much better playing with the reserves. The 34-year-old scored 15 points on 54.5 percent shooting and dished out 11 assists with zero turnovers in a statement victory over Milwaukee on Friday, and has looked noticeably more upbeat since taking on his new role.

Los Angeles is averaging 114.8 points per game on 47.3 percent shooting from the field and 33.0 percent from long range. Its offensive efficiency rating, adjusted for opponent, is ranked 27th in the NBA, however. Davis leads the Lakers in scoring at 28.6 points per game. LA also relies heavily on star forward LeBron James (26.1 PPG, 8.6 RPG, and 6.6 APG) to carry the load. The Lakers' defense is allowing 115.1 points on 46.2 percent shooting. Their adjusted defensive efficiency is ranked 13th in the NBA.
