The Los Angeles Kings are coming off Saturday’s 3-2 shootout victory at the Seattle Kraken. After three straight losses against the NY Islanders 3-2 in overtime, NY Rangers 4-1, and Winnipeg Jets 5-2, the Kings outlasted the Kraken in dramatic fashion, as Carl Grundstrom scored a winner in the ninth round of a shootout.

Los Angeles outshot Seattle 38-19, but the Kraken converted one of their two power-play opportunities late in the third period to force overtime. The Kings went 1-for-4 with the man advantage. Trevor Moore and Anze Kopitar scored a goal apiece, while Cam Talbot yielded two goals on 19 shots.

The Kings are fifth in the league in goals for (3.56 per game) and first in goals against (2.41). They boast the second-best penalty-killing percent age in the league (87.1%). Cam Talbot is projected to patrol the crease Tuesday at San Jose, and the veteran netminder is 13-5-2 with a 2.02 GAA and a .926 save percentage this season.
