The Los Angeles Kings face the New Jersey Devils in a matchup between two of the best teams in the NHL. The Kings have a 32-19-7 record and with seven wins in their last 10 games are near the top of the Pacific Division. The Devils have a 37-15-5 record and are in second place in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams are looking to remain near the top of their divisions and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Kings are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.31 goals per game with 24 goals in the last five games. Kevin Fiala, Adrian Kempe, and Anze Kopitar have scored 68 goals and 89 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Phillip Danault, Viktor Arvidsson, and Gabriel Vilardi have combined for 47 goals and 63 assists while defensemen Drew Doughty and Sean Durzi have added nine goals and 58 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has been awful, allowing 3.34 goals per game. Drew Doughty and Michael Anderson have combined for 6.6 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Pheonix Copley has struggled with a .904 save percentage and a 2.67 goals-against average on 624 shots wit h -1.1 goals saved above average.
