The Los Angeles Kings come into Boston at 15-12-5 and on the sixth game of a grueling East Coast trip. The Kings are on a two-game losing streak including a 6-0 blowout loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night. With the loss, Los Angeles is now 5-6-4 in their last 15 games. The game was scoreless heading into the third period before the floodgates opened up and the Sabres netted six goals on 16 shots against Kings backup goalie, Pheonix Copley. Copley was making just his third start of the season after being called up at the beginning of this month.

“Responsibility. Carelessness,” Kings coach Todd McLellan said in summing up the loss. “Been talking about it all year. No, I can’t explain it.”

Offensively, the Kings are 14th in goals per game and have the 13th best power play in the NHL. On the defensive side of things, the Kings are just 28th in the league in goals against and have the 28th best penalty killing unit. Thus far on this trip, the Kings are being outscored 21-14.

Key Injuries: LW Viktor Arvidsson is out for personal reasons.
