Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-10-2023

Los Angeles will try to bounce back from a disappointing series in Arizona when it travels to San Francisco for a series opener on Monday night. The Dodgers lost the final three games of their series against the Diamondbacks, falling to .500 overall through their first 10 games of the season. San Francisco snapped a two-game losing skid with a 3-1 win over Kansas City on Sunday.

Los Angeles got off to a frustrating start to the season when it split its first four games against Arizona last weekend. The Dodgers won a pair of games by six-plus runs, but they also lost a pair of games in 2-1 finals. They responded by winning their next three games in a row, beating Colorado twice before winning their series opener at Arizona last Thursday. Los Angeles lost the final three games of the rematch series against the Diamondbacks though, allowing a combined 29 runs in those contests. The Dodgers scored 14 combined runs on Saturday and Sunday, but it was still not enough to win the game.

They are continuing their seven-game road trip in San Francisco before returning home for back-to-back series against the Cubs and Mets. Los Angeles is in third place in the National League West heading into Monday’s slate, trailing Arizona and San Diego. The Dodgers rank No. 16 in the MLB in team batting average (.251) and are facing a San Francisco pitching staff that is No. 17 in ERA (4.57). Left-handed pitcher Julio Urias will start for Los Angeles on Monday night. He allowed two earned runs on four hits across 6.0 innings against Arizona in his first start before throwing six shutout innings against Colorado in his second appearance. Urias posted a phenomenal 2.16 ERA in 31 starts for the Dodgers last season.
