The Los Angeles Dodgers (86-37, 77-46 RL, 50-61-12 O/U) clash with the Miami Marlins (54-70, 55-68 RL, 51-67-5 O/U) in the first of a four-game NL series on Friday evening. The Dodgers will have Tyler Anderson on the mound. The Marlins have yet to announce a starter.  The Dodgers lead the series 3-0.

Tyler Anderson will be on the hill to begin the series. Anderson resumed his stellar work last time out, limiting this Marlins team to one run in seven innings, resulting in a no-decision in a game the Dodgers won. The veteran left-hander is having the best season of his career, recording a 2.73 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP accompanied by a 13-2 record in 135.1 innings of work. Anderson has logged a 1-3 record and a 3.62 ERA in 37.1 career innings against the fish.

The Dodgers begin a seven-game road trip in this one. They went 5-1 on their recent homestand including two wins in three bouts against the Brewers. Los Angeles is going to win the division and it’s just a matter of securing the best record in the MLB. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. 

Will Smith had a big series against the Marlins last week, d riving in seven runs. The 27-year-old catcher is having a career year, launching 19 big flies with 73 RBIs and an .825 OPS. Smith has a whopping 20 RBIs and a strong .870 OPS this month.

The Dodgers' offense is leading the big leagues with 5.40 runs per game. The pitching continues to dominate and enters with a 2.85 team ERA which also leads the way.
