Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 6-29-2023

Los Angeles Dodgers (44-34) vs. Colorado Rockies (31-50)

The 2023 MLB betting action goes on Thursday, June 29, with the Los Angeles Dodgers squaring off against the Colorado Rockies in the NL West battle at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, and the first pitch is set for 8:40 PM ET.

The Blue Crew and Rocks wrap up a three-game series at Coors Field. The Dodgers blanked Colorado 5-0 in Tuesday’s opener, while Wednesday’s contest has been excluded from the analysis. Los Angeles is a firm -195 moneyline fave for Thursday’s game, and the totals are listed at 12.5 runs.

The Los Angeles Dodgers improved to 44-34 on the season following Tuesday’s victory at Coors Field. JD Martinez went yard twice to reach 300 home runs for his career, while Clayton Kershaw tossed six scoreless frames. The Dodgers outhit the Rockies 8-3, tallying their fifth win in six games.

The Boys in Blue are slashing just .215/.298/.343 with 15 doubles and 11 home runs in the last couple of weeks and 376 at-bats. At least, their bullpen has improved during that span, recording a 4.05 ERA and 3.51 FIP across 46.2 innings of work. Over the last seven days, the Dodgers’ relievers have thrown 24 frames while posting a microscopic 0.38 ERA.

Emmet Sheehan will be on the bump Thursday, and the 23-year-old rookie right-hander is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 0.58 WHIP in two starts and 12 innings of work in 2023. After throwing six hitless innings against the San Francisco Giants in his major-league debut on June 16, Sheehan earned his first win last Friday. He gave up two earned runs on three hits and a pair of free passes through six innings in a 3-2 home victory to the Houston Astros.
