Los Angeles Clippers (1-0) vs. Sacramento Kings (0-1)

The NBA betting action goes on with a nine-game Saturday card, and the Los Angeles Clippers head to Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, to start their four-game regular-season series against the Sacramento Kings.

The Clippers open as 5.5-point road favorites with a total of 221.5 points. LA and Sacramento split their last season’s series, and the Clippers shoot for their third straight victory over the Kings.

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 103-97 in their season opener thanks to an excellent defensive performance. The Clippers outrebounded the Lakers 58-38 while holding their rivals to 35.1% shooting from the field and 20.0% from beyond the 3-point line (9-for-45). On the other side of the ball, the Clippers made 46.3% of their field goals and 31.0% of their triples (9-for-29), turning the ball over a whopping 22 times.

Kawhi Leonard returned to the floor after missing the 2021-22 season due to a knee injury. The Claw played 21 minutes off the bench, finishing with 14 points, seven rebounds, and a couple of dishes.

“My goal was to try to be great in my minutes,” Kawhi said. “Have fun, obviously stay healthy and win the basketball game. We did that tonight. Just the first game, though. We've got a lot to go.”

Ivica Zubac led the charge for the Clippers last Thursday. He dominated the Lakers in the paint, posting 17 rebounds (six offensive) to go with 14 points and five blocks. Paul George had a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double, while John Wall added 15 points and three assists in his Clippers debut. Tyronn Lue used ten players in the rotation, and six scored points in double digits.
