Los Angeles Clippers (21-18) vs. Denver Nuggets (24-13)
The 2022-23 NBA season continues Thursday, January 5, with the Los Angeles Clippers taking on the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference showdown at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. The tip-off is set for 10:00 PM ET, and the Nuggets aim for their fourth consecutive victory over the Clippers.
LA might be shorthanded, as the Clippers listed both Paul George (hamstring) and Kawhi Leonard (illness) as questionable to play. Denver, on the other side, misses Jeff Green (hand), while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (wrist) is questionable to play.
The Los Angeles Clippers fell to 21-18 SU and 20-19 ATS on the season following Monday’s 110-100 defeat to the Miami Heat. They rallied from a 21-point deficit, holding the Heat to 14 third-quarter points, but the Clippers scored just 17 in the fourth. LA went 12-for-29 from beyond the arc and 30-for-34 from the charity stripe. However, the Clippers were outscored 48-28 in the paint and posted an underwhelming 19/15 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Paul George had 25 points and seven assists last Monday. Marcus Morris notched 14 points and seven rebounds, while Luke Kennard added 11 points off the bench. Kawhi Leonard sat out due to an illness.

The Clippers have dropped three straight contests while going 4-2 SU and ATS over their last six outings on the home court. They own the third-worst offensive rating in the NBA, scoring just 109.5 points per 100 possessions. The Clippers lean on their defense and give up 109.4 points per 100 possessions (3rd in the league) on 45.7% shooting from the field (5th) and 34.0% from beyond the arc (tied-3rd).
