Two of the NBA's hottest teams have a date in State Farm Arena this Monday. At 7:30 p.m. EDT, the Los Angeles Clippers (32-15; 26-21-0 ATS) will try to extend their dominant run against the streaking Atlanta Hawks (22-27; 14-35-0 ATS). This will be their first meeting for this season after the road team won both matchups a year ago. Will the visiting Clippers come out on top again, or is Atlanta ready for the challenge?

Don't look now, but the Clippers are only one game back of the Western Conference's first seed. They are 24-5 in their last 29 games, so not many teams have had success against them lately. Los Angeles will try to stay hot by deploying the NBA's fourth-highest offensive rating again. The Clippers, aided by the best three-point efficiency in the league, are fifth in true shooting percentage. They're a top-10 shooting team inside of the arc too. Los Angeles is ranked 10th in turnover percentage and offensive rebounding percentage. The team is decent at getting to the free throw line. Ivica Zubac's (out) presence has been missed, but not enough to prevent the Clippers from consistently winning.

On the other end of the floor, the Clippers are 12th in defensive rating. They are 11th at defending the rim and have the ninth-lowest three-point percentage allowed. Los Angeles is also 10th in turnover percen tage defensively. For the most part, the Clippers are solid defensively. However, they've dealt with frontcourt injuries all season, which is a major reason that Los Angeles is 24th in defensive rebounding percentage. Regardless, the defense has been good enough to beat almost everyone lately.
