The Los Angeles Clippers invade the American Airlines Center to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles Clippers have been on a nice run as they’ve won six of their past eight games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the lowly Rockets in a 122-106 road win last night. Paul George led the way with 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Reggie Jackson and Norman Powell each scored 17 points while Marcus Morris chipped in with 15 points on six of nine shooting. As a team, the Clippers shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 31 points in the first quarter to take the early lead which only grew as the game wore on. The Clippers had six players finish in double figures in scoring and the reserves outscored the Rockets’ reserves by 51-34.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in great form as they’ve won five of their past seven games and they will be looking to stay hot after sneaking past the Trail Blazers in a 117-112 home win on Saturday. Luka Doncic led the way with a monster triple-double of 42 points with 13 rebounds and 10 assists, Spencer Dinwiddie added 20 points with six assists while Christian Wood chipped in with 19 points on seven of 11 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 43 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 16-point lead, before making up for it in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Trail Blazers by 32-24 to escape with the narrow win.
