Los Angeles Chargers vs. New Orleans Saints Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 8-26-2022

The New Orleans Saints will host the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday in the final preseason game for both teams. Both of these squads come into this contest with a 0-2 preseason record.

After barely missing the playoffs in 2021, the Chargers have high expectations with an over/under win total set at 10.5 games.

In both the 29-22 loss to the Rams, and the 32-18 loss to Dallas last week, the Chargers did not play franchise quarterback Justin Herbert. Easton Stick started against Dallas and went 11 for 20 for 134 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Stick also rushed for a team-high 24 yards on two carries, while the rest of the squad managed only 53 yards on 23 attempts. Chase Daniel, a 35-year-old veteran, was the only other Chargers QB to see the field and went 13 for 21 for 111 yards and a touchdown.

The Chargers will now hit the road for their final preseason game, led by head coach Brandon Staley. Staley went 9-8 during the regular season as a rookie head coach last season but is now just 1-4 straight up in the preseason.
