The Los Angeles Chargers visit Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Friday to play the New Orleans Saints in the final game of the NFL preseason for both teams. Los Angeles is 0-2 after falling to the Dallas Cowboys 32-18 in Week 2 of the preseason and opening their preseason with a 29-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Los Angeles did not play starting quarterback Justin Herbert. Los Angeles has a quarterback competition for the backup to Herbert.

Easton Stick passed for 134 yards with one touchdown and one interception and Chase Daniel threw for 111 yards and one touchdown against the Cowboys. Joshua Palmer, a second-year wide receiver for Los Angeles, has looked impressive. In the loss to Dallas, Palmer caught three passes for 75 yards with one touchdown. The Chargers must work on their special teams after giving up a kickoff return touchdown and a punt return touchdown.

New Orleans is also 0-2 in the preseason after opening with a 17-13 loss to the Houston Texans followed by a 20-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The majority of starters for New Orleans did not play against Green Bay. Kicker Wil Lutz connected on a 59 yard field goal and Hunter Blake Gilliken booted an 81-yard punt.'

Miscues hurt the Saints in their loss to Green Bay. The Packers scored 10 points following a key penalty by New Orleans and also on a fumbled snap. Quarterback Ian Book, who is third on the depth chart, played the entire game with starter Jameis Winston and back up Andy Dalton on the bench. Chris Olave continued to impress at wide out, with a touchdown reception.
