In the last game against the Seattle Seahawks, the defense gave up 37 points, and that led to the 14-point defeat. The defense couldn’t stop the run game, and that led to them giving up 37 points. Justin Herbert completed 33 of his 51 passes for 293 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Chargers are averaging 23.4 points while their defense is giving up 27 points per game. Keenan Allen is dealing with a hamstring injury and he’s questionable for this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Falcons who sit with a 4-4 record overall and they have gone 6-2 against the spread. In the last game against the Carolina Panthers, it was a tight battle, but they scored 37 points, and that was enough to secure a three-point victory in overtime. Marcus Mariota completed 20 of his 28 passes for 253 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. The Falcons offense is averaging 25 points while their defense is giving up 25.6 points per game. The offense is elite, but their defense needs to be improved if they are going to make this game.
