Los Angeles Angels vs. Cleveland Guardians Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 9-13-2022

The Los Angeles Angels will try to play the role of spoilers as they continue their three-game series against the Guardians in Cleveland on Tuesday. The Guardians continue their quest to win the AL Central Division title for the first time since 2018. On the mound on Tuesday night will be lefty Jose Suarez (6-6, 3.77) of the Angels taking on righty Cody Morris (0-1, 3.00) of the Guardians. Game time is set for 6:10pm EST.

The Los Angeles Angels are once again on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. A team with arguably two of the five best players in baseball, Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, still can't figure out the right combination of players to surround those two players with. The Angels come into this series as strictly spoilers instead of a team gearing up for a playoff push themselves. Over the weekend, LA lost two of three games to the first-place Astros and have now lost three of four games overall. On Monday night, in a chance to spoil Cleveland's Cinderella season, Mike Trout homered for the 7th straight game but it would not be enough in a 5-4 Angels' loss.

The Angels may be one of the more entertaining franchises in baseball….AFTER the season ends. There are rumors of a potential ownership purchase along with the prospects of trading either or both of Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout or building a roster around their two superstars. Any way the Angels decide to go, the baseball world will undoubtedly be watching. On Tuesday night, the Angels will turn to lefty Jose Suarez to try and knock the Guardians off their tenuous playoff perch. In his last five games, Suarez has pitched well with a 3-2 record and an ERA of 2.35. Suarez has not pitched against the Guardians yet this season.
