Can the LA Angels ever ascend to the top of the standings with arguably two of the three best baseball players on their roster? The time may be growing short with one of those superstars, Shohei Ohtani, scheduled for free agency at the end of this season. Coming into this series, the Angels dropped four out of five games including two out of three to the Guardians over the weekend. On Monday, in game one of this series, Ohtani did it all going seven innings with five strikeouts while also going 4-for-5 from the plate and a double short of the cycle in a 9-5 Angels' win.

The Angels will hand the ball to Chase Silseth in game two of the series, making a spot start for the Angels. This will be Silseth's first start of the season and just his fifth appearance overall. He has thrown 8.1 innings in his first four appearances, allowing five hits and three runs. He has struck out three and walked three in that time. Silseth's longest outing of the season came in his last appearance, going 3.1 innings and allowing five hits and six runs, three of which were earned. Silseth made seven starts last season, going 1-3 with a 6.59 ERA.

Key Injuries: 1B Jared Walsh, C Chris Wallach and 3B Anthony Rendon are out.
