The Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners face off on Sunday in an MLB showdown at T-Mobile Park. The Angels have won two of the three games in this series.
The Angels sit with a 46-62 record overall and the offense was finally good on Saturday night scoring seven runs. The Angels offense has been an issue all season and they are averaging only 3.87 runs per game which is 24th in the league. One issue for this offense as of late has been Shohei Ohtani has struggled with the bat coming into this game and with the way the rest of the offense has been, that can’t continue.
The Mariners come into this game with a 58-51 record overall, but the pitching was good on Saturday night and that really hurt them. The Mariners are right in the middle of the playoff race and they have leaned on the pitching all season. The Mariners are giving up 3.86 runs per game which is 6th best in the league. Star rookie Julio Rodriguez is still banged up and that is a big loss for the offense.
