The Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at the Oakland Coliseum. In the first game of this series, it was the Angels that were able to secure 1-0 victory.
The Anglels sit with a 47-63 record overall but the pitching did carry them to the victory on Monday. This has been a disappointing season for the Angels and the biggest issue for this team has been the offense. The Angels are averaging 3.89 runs which is 25th in the league, and that is something that is going to need to be fixed this offseason. Shohei Ohtani is having a big season at the plate hitting 24 home runs and driving in 65 RBIs.
Oakland comes into this game with a 41-69 record overall and again on Monday it was the offense that again struggled as they were defeated. The A’s offense has been a big issue this season and they are averaging 3.43 runs which is 29th in the league. Seth Brown has been good hitting 17 home runs and driving in 48 RBIs so far this season.
