The LIU Brooklyn Sharks will head up to Storrs and face the UConn Huskies in non-conference action this weekend from the Gampel Pavilion on FS1.
LIU Brooklyn fell to 1-7 after losing to UMass Lowell on Monday. The Sharks found themselves drowning again after falling behind big in the first half, eventually losing by 20 to the River Hawks. LIU is scoring 66.5 points per game, while shooting 40.9% from the field, and 34.7% from three.
Marko Maletic has been a consistent scoring threat for the Sharks early on. The first-year guard scored 22 points against Marquette, and he’s pacing the team with 14.9 ppg. UMKC transfer Jacob Johnson leads LIU in rebounding (6.2), while scoring 10.9 ppg.
