The Lindenwood Lions and Missouri Tigers face off on Sunday in a college basketball showdown at Mizzou Arena.
Lindenwood comes into this game with a 1-1 record overall and still have a ton of question marks surrounding them. In the first game against Dayton, the offense really struggled scoring only 46 points and that led to the defeat. In the last game they faced off against Hannibal-La Grange, and they were able to secure the 85-58 victory. In the first game against Dayton the only real bright spot was Chris Childs who finished with 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Keenon Cole was the only other player to score in double figures and he only played 14 minutes.
On the other side of this matchup is the Missouri Tigers who sit with a 2-0 record and the offense has been impressive in the first two games. In Game 1 against Southern Indiana they were able to secure the 97-91 victory, and in the last game against Penn, Missouri was able to secure a 92-85 victory. Forward Noah Carter had a big game in the last one finishing with 28 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. D’Moi Hodge also had a nice game finishing with 17 points, two rebounds, and one assist. The defense has proven they need to be better, and in this game that will be key. Missouri is averaging 94.5 points while their defense is giving up 88 points per game.
