Laurel Park may not have the star power of some of the other tracks on Friday. However, the card has number of wide open races that should be good betting opportunities.

- #4 CLASS WIZARD (2-1) gets the top selection. He should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
- #9 WAR AND ROSES (10-1) is a price horse and should be competitive in this spot. He should be part of the early pace in this spot. This one could be able to sneak away on the front end.
- # 3 BELIEVEINROCKNROLL (7-2) isn't without hope. He is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.
- #10 EPIC RISE (6-1) could be a factor in the number here. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Gonzalez and Toledo. This one should be on or near the early lead which is always a good spot to be against maiden claimers.

- #3 FORTES (7-5) gets the top selection. She shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
- #2 SWEET TALIA (5-2) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She makes sense on speed figures.
- #5 MIDDLE ISLAND (5-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. Her speed figures fit with this group.
- #4 CANDY CORNER (5-1) seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. She should have run c oming for home and may be sitting a bit closer than some of the deep closers.
