The Las Vegas Raiders visit Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Saturday to play the Miami Dolphins. Las Vegas continues to work on its offensive line, as the Raiders are rotating players in and out and looking for a left tackle that will provide protection for Derek Carr's blindside. Quarterback Jarrett Stidham suffered three sacks and Chase Garbers was sacked once in the Raiders win but Las Vegas appears to be stronger at offensive line than last season. Nick Mullens passed for 95 yards and one touchdown for the Raiders and Brittan Brown rushed for 54 yards and one touchdown. The leading receiver was DJ Turner with 58 yards and 1 touchdown reception.
The Miami Dolphins opened their preseason with a 26-24 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Starting quarterback Tua Taovailoa did not play and backup Teddy Bridgewater was only available in an emergency situation. Quarterback Skylar Thompson passed for 218 yards and one touchdown, while running back Myles Gaskin rushed for 27 yards. The leading receiver was Lynn Bowden Jr. with 55 yards and one touchdown reception.
Miami's defense gave up far too much to Tampa Bay, allowing 389 yards of total offense but was able to force a pair of Buccaneers' turnovers which helped their cause. The Dolphins are expected to rotate several players on the defensive side of the line of scrimmage as they search for players to fill in for their starters at each position.
