The Las Vegas Raiders and LA Chargers open their seasons at SoFi Stadium Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s'lines around the Raiders vs. Chargers odds, and'make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
The Raiders went 0-2-1 in preseason action and didn’t give the starters too much burn. The team added QB Gardner Minshew, who earned a Pro Bowl appearance with the Indianapolis Colts last season. Las Vegas took Georgia TE Brock Bowers with its 1st-round pick, adding another weapon to its offense. The Raiders will look to build on an 8-9 finish last season.
The Chargers had a disappointing season a year ago, finishing 5-12 and losing their last 5 games. They fired coach Brandon Staley in December, opening the door for Jim Harbaugh — fresh off a national championship with Michigan — to get hired in January. QB Justin Herbert will still be the team’s main weapon, but he lost both WR Keenan Allen and RB Austin Ekeler. Los Angeles went 1-2 in its preseason action. It added the top offensive lineman Joe Alt with the 7th-overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
