Lamar Jackson projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, Baltimore Ravens player profile, season outlook, simulations

There's no question that the Ravens former NFL MVP, Jackson, is a tantalizing fantasy prospect despite having a very lackluster receiving core outside of star tight end Mark Andrews and an uncertain backfield behind him. In 2019, his 2nd NFL season, the former Heisman Trophy winner in college threw for 36 touchdowns and rushed for 1,200 yards plus seven more scores. It ranks as a top-five fantasy season for any quarterback in history. Last year Jackson wasn't as fortunate by missing five games and playing others on an injured ankle. His 16-13 TD-to-INT ratio also made him somewhat of a liability for fantasy owners.

In 2022, the key to Jackson's success will once again be the rushing yards, which dipped below 1,000 yards for the first time since his rookie season in 2018. With only Rashad Bateman and Andrews as fantasy-worthy starters, don't expect LJ's passing touchdown total to much exceed 25. Averaging 70+ yards per game on the ground with a minimum of eight rushing scores makes Jackson easily a high-end fantasy quarterback and one who should be off the board in the early rounds.
