The Los Angeles Lakers (16-13) have dropped three in a row and four of the last five since winning the inaugural In-Season Tournament. Things won't get any easier, either, as they travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-6) on Thursday in a game that will be broadcasted on NBA TV.
With Anthony Davis turning his ankle in Wednesday's loss to the Chicago Bulls, player prop markets remain limited at this time. Only Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns are featured in the prop market. We still believe there is value in backing the Timberwolves, who are the top seed in the Western Conference.

There is a legitimate chance Davis rests this game, as he's been pushing through minor injuries all season. If that's the case, we love backing KAT's rebounding ability even more.
Even if Davis plays, the Lakers rank 29th in the league in offensive rebound rate, according to Cleaning the Glass. Towns is ninth in the league in defensive rebounding, and could clean up on that end without Davis.
If our best sportsbooks release markets for Rudy Gobert, we wouldn't mind a similar SGP involving him. For now, we will bet on KAT and the Wolves to have success against a reeling Lakers team.
