The Dayton Flyers will host the La Salle Explorers in Atlantic 10 play from UD Arena. This will mark the 50th time Dayton and La Salle face off, and the Flyers hold the head-to-head lead, 30-19, but the Explorers have won the last two meetings.
La Salle dropped to 13-16 after falling to George Washington in DC. The Explorers led the Colonials pull away in the second half, and they lost by seven, 92-85. La Salle is scoring 70.1 points per game, while allowing 73.1 ppg, and shooting 42% from the field.
La Salle has dropped their last three games, but they’ll look to put a dent in Dayton’s tournament hopes here. The Explorers are 7-9 in Atlantic 10 play, with a 5-7 road record. Sophomore guard Khalil Brantley has been the team’s most consistent player, and he’s leading La Salle in scoring (13.9) and assists (4.2). Senior guard Josh Nickelberry starts alongside him, and after dropping 28 points against Duquesne last week, he's up to 11.3 ppg. Senior forward Fousseyni Drame double-doubled in their most recent win over Richmond, and he leads the team in rebounding (5.8), while scoring 9.3 ppg.
