Kyrie Irving Next Team Predictions, Picks & Odds 2023: Lakers are Favorites to Land PGiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

Kyrie Irving could shake up the entire NBA offseason if he chooses not to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks this summer. If that happens, where could he end up? Let's take a look at the best NBA odds for Irving's next team to find out.

The assumption is Kyrie Irving will be staying with the Dallas Mavericks. The team likely wouldn't have traded as much as it did had Irving not agreed to some sort of handshake deal with the front office prior to the NBA's trade deadline. The odds are pretty good that he'll be staying put.

But this is Kyrie Irving we're talking about. He's played for five different teams during his NBA career, with each of the previous four stops ending terribly. Irving could decide to walk away from a nice Mavs contract offer this summer, which would completely change the entire NBA free-agency conversation.

In the unlikely event that happens, the Los Angeles Lakers appear to be the favorites to land Irving via our best sports betting apps. There are betting odds on which team will acquire Irving this offseason if he doesn't re-sign with the Mavericks, and the Lakers pace the market with a price of +200.

Let's take a look at this market through our top NBA betting sites and try to figure out what the best play might be for our Irving next team predictions.

There's no reason to get cute with this market. Irving will be sacrificing a big payday if he decides to leave the Mavs. He's eligible for a four-year deal worth $220.6 million this summer, according to Ryan Young of Yahoo Sports. The Mavs can offer him up to $272 million over five years.

Mark Cuban has already said that bringing Irving back is a top priority for Dallas. That should be no surprise considering how much the Mavs gave up to land him in February. Despite missing the playoffs, Irving and Luka Doncic still offer up enough talent for Dallas to be in the mix in the Western Conference.

So, if Irving does decide to leave that kind of money on the table, it can only mean he wants to team up with LeBron James once again. They won a championship together in 2016 when the Cleveland Cavaliers famously completed a 3-1 series comeback to defeat the Golden State Warriors.

It's no secret that James would like to be teammates with Irving again. The Lakers entertained trading for Irving before the deadline this past February, but they ultimately opted for more depth. That decision led to a trip to the Western Conference Finals. But could the Lakers go back to the three-star route to get over the final hurdle?

James is set to enter his age-39 season, and he desperately needs a shot-creating ball-handler to help run the offense. That certainly sounds like Irving, who averaged 27.1 points and 5.5 assists per game in 2022-23.

However, a three-star combination of Anthony Davis, James, and Irving doesn't allow the Lakers to build out much depth due to salary-cap reasons. And depth could be crucial with those three stars given the likelihood that all of them miss time.

In the end, it's key that bettors only take advantage of this specific market, as it offers a payout if Irving plays anywhere but Dallas. He's unlikely to leave Dallas, but Los Angeles certainly makes the most sense if he decides to play for a new team.
