Knicks fans across the country, basketball purists, and those who just wanted to see something special collectively held their breath when Brunson exited Game 2 with a foot injury. For a brief moment, hopes and dreams across the Big Apple had been dashed.
But then Brunson rose from the ashes like Willis Reed (Google it) for the second half and proceeded to score 24 points and lead the Knicks to a win. Though he didn't hit the Over on his point total for the first time in his last six games, he likely would have if not for the injury.

With the way Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo are playing for the Knicks, I'm starting to think Jay Wright should have won more than two national championships at Villanova with these guys. Or maybe they just needed Tom Thibodeau screaming at them like a banshee from the sidelines to motivate them?
Regardless, DiVincenzo has been a perfect complement to Brunson as of late. He's averaging 25.3 points over his last three games and has gone 16-for-30 from behind the arc (53.3%). “The Big Ragu” should be getting the Tommy DeVito treatment in New York for how he's attacked the Pacers' uninspiring defense.
