The New York Knicks pay a visit to the Washington Wizards at the Capital One Arena on Friday night.
The New York Knicks have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after capping off the first half of the season with a 122-101 road win over the Hawks last Wednesday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Julius Randle added 25 points with 11 rebounds while RJ Barrett chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Knicks shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 43 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 37 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early double-digit lead which ballooned to 25 points at one stage as the Knicks were switched on in this one.
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past five games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Timberwolves in a 114-106 road win last Thursday. Bradley Beal led the team with 35 points with six rebounds and five assists, Kyle Kuzma added 16 points while Corey Kispert chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Wizards shot 45 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and looked to be in trouble after allowing the Timberwolves to explode for 36 points in the first quarter to put them behind by as many as 20 points, but they kept their nerve and made their move with 38 points in the fourth quarter to pull off the impressive comeback victory.
