Kentucky Bowl Game History

Kentucky has frequented the college football postseason throughout its history. The Wildcats have played in 21 bowls prior to facing Iowa.

The Wildcats made their first bowl appearance in 1947 as part of the SEC. They defeated Villanova, 24-14, at the Great Lakes Bowl that year.

Kentucky has qualified for a bowl game in each of the last seven seasons. Funny enough, the Wildcats faced Iowa in their la st bowl appearance, defeating the Hawkeyes, 20-17, at the 2022 Citrus Bowl.
