The Kansas Jayhawks started slowly but now look like the team that won the National Title in 2022. The Jayhawks have now won seven straight games and have moved up to the #3 spot in the college Top-25 standings. On Wednesday night, Kansas clinched the Big 12 regular season title with a 67-63 win over Texas Tech at Allen Fieldhouse. Seniors Jalen Wilson and Kevin McCullar Jr, playing their last game at home, led the way in the hard-fought win. Wilson had 21 points to lead the way while McCullar added 14 points to help the Jayhawks clinch their NCAA-leading 64th regular-season conference title.

“It felt so good to win,” Wilson said. “I just wanted to cherish the moment.”

While some might speculate that the Jayhawks don't have anything to play for in this game, look no further than the Jayhawks opportunity to earn a top seed in the NCAA Tournament. Another quadrant one win in this spot and a solid showing in the Big 12 Tournament could very well earn that seeding. Kansas comes into this game with the fourth best scoring offense in the conference. The Jayhawks are second in field goal percentage and fourth in 3pt offense. On the defensive end, Kansas has the sixth best scoring defense in the Big 12. The Jayhawks are second in opponent's field goal percentage and fifth in 3pt defense. They are the #1 team in the Big 12 in total rebounding and are fourth in fewest turnovers.
