Kansas vs. Texas Odds, Picks, Predictions College Basketball: Who Will Win Regular-Season Finale?iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

With the Big 12 title wrapped up, the Kansas Jayhawks will travel to face the Texas Longhorns in the regular-season finale. Read on for our Kansas vs. Texas college basketball picks based on the top NCAAB odds.

Earlier this week, the Kansas Jayhawks clinched a share of the Big 12 regular-season title with a win over Texas Tech on Tuesday. It became an outright league crown the following night when the Texas Longhorns lost on the road against the TCU Horned Frogs.

While Saturday's matchup lost some of its luster, both teams still have plenty to play for in the final game before the postseason. KU (25-5) is trying to climb further up the No. 1 seed line in the NCAA Tournament, while Texas (22-8) is trying to snap a two-game skid.

Here is our best Kansas vs. Texas college basketball pick (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Kansas vs. Texas pick

With college basketball taking center stage this time of the year, the market will often overreact on a line due to the situation. I believe that's what's happening here, with the line moving past a full possession in favor of a Texas squad needing a win.

Ken Pomeroy projects a 76-74 win for the Longhorns, which is right in line with where the betting lines initially started. Bettors believe Texas will bounce back at home after back-to-back losses to Baylor and TCU, especially with not as much on the line for this game.

But Kansas coach Bill Self said earlier this week that he has no plans of resting starters, and the Jayhawks do want to improve their seeding and try to be the top seed in the Midwest region. Kansas also cruised to a 88-80 win over Texas in the first m eeting back on Feb. 6.

In that game, Kansas scored 50 points in the paint on a night where it only had eight scholarship players available. And that's the concern with this Texas team. While the Longhorns rank 25th in adjusted defensive efficiency, they're allowing 34.2% of shots at the rim, per hoop-math.com. KU might have a smaller lineup, but it still takes 39.1% of its shots at the rim.

There is definitely a world where the Longhorns win, but the market is acting like it is a forgone conclusion. We'll take the extra value on the Jayhawks, who are simply the better team at this point in the season. At +3 or better, Kansas is the right side.

+3.5 +3.5 N/A +3 +3
-110 -110 N/A -110 -110

This line has moved up to 3.5 at both DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook, so it's up to you on where you want to play this spread. Both shops offer same-game parlay options, though we prefer the markets at DraftKings in this case.

For example, Kansas forward Jalen Wilson is averaging 19.6 points per game and coming off a 21-point performance. Yet his scoring prop is set at 17.5 at DraftKings, while FanDuel lists the line at 18.5 instead. A parlay bet on Wilson to lead KU to a road victory could make a lot of sense here.

Kansas vs. Texas odds analysis

Texas opened as a 2-point favorite, but the line has drifted to a full possession and more since then. The total started at 148.5, and is now a consensus 149 across most of our top-rated sportsbooks.

Neither team has been the easiest to bet on so far this season. Kansas is 14-16 against the spread, while Texas is 13-17 ATS. The Jayhawks are 16-14 to the Over, and the Longhorns are 16-12-2 to the Over.
