Bowl game season is underway after an exciting 2022 college football campaign. One successful program taking part in the postseason once again is the Kansas State Wildcats, who will face Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Kansas State Bowl Game History
College football fans shouldn't be shocked to find out Kansas State has built a decent bowl game history over the years. The Wildcats are making a bowl appearance for the second straight year and have played in 23 bowl games all-time prior to the Sugar Bowl set for kickoff on Saturday afternoon.
Kansas State's first bowl game appearance came in the 1982 Independence Bowl under head coach Jim Dickey. The Wildcats fell short in a 14-3 loss to Wisconsin and didn't earn their firs t bowl in until 11 years later. They took down the Wyoming Cowboys by a score of 52-17 in the 1993 Copper Bowl.
The Wildcats' most recent bowl appearance came in last year's Texas Bowl. Kansas State picked apart the LSU Tigers in a 42-20 victory and has won three of its last four bowl games overall. It will get a chance to keep that success going in a packed Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
