Kansas City Royals at Chicago White Sox – 8/31/22 MLB Picks and Prediction

The Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox face off on Wednesday in an MLB showdown at Guaranteed Rate Field. On Tuesday it was the Royals that were able to secure the 9-7 victory.

The Royals sit with a 53-77 record overall but they aren’t a team that has quit, and they have won two games in a row. Over the last two games, the offense has scored 24 runs total, and they are going to need to try and run up the score here. The Royals offense overall is averaging 3.95 runs per game which is 24th in baseball. Salvador Perez has hit 19 home runs and driven in 63 RBIs.

On the other side of this matchup is the White Sox who sit with a 63-66 record overall and they have lost five games in a row. A series sweep by the Diamondbacks and now a loss against the Royals have really hurt any chance to make the playoffs. The White Sox’s offense hasn’t been good enough and they are averaging 4.19 runs per game which is 21st in the league. Luis Robert is dealing with a wrist injury and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game.
