Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 1-21-2024

The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills will meet in the NFL's divisional playoffs on Sunday at Highmark Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.

The Bills are 2.5-point spread favorites and the game total is 45.5 points.

Kansas City (12-6 SU, 10-8 ATS, and 5-13 O/U) beat Miami 26-7 in the Wild Card round. The Chiefs were 6-2 SU and 4-4 ATS on the road this season.

Buffalo (12-6 SU, 8-9-1 ATS, and 7-11 O/U) beat Pittsburgh 31-17 in Monday's Wild Card game. The Bills were 8-1 SU and 5-4 ATS at home this season.

The Bills beat the Chiefs 20-17 at Arrowhead in their regular season meeting on December 10. Buffalo dominated the time of possession by nearly 11 minutes and won the turnover battle in the close win. The game was marred by an offside penalty on KC WR Kadariu s Toney, whose 49-yard touchdown was called back with less than a minute left in the game.

Chiefs: LB Cam Jones is out. WR Kadarius Toney, WR Justyn Ross, WR Skyy Moore, DT Derrick Nnadi, and CB L'Jarius Sneed are questionable. LB Nick Bolton, DB Deon Bush, TE Noah Gray, OL Wanya Morris, and DE Charles Omenihu are probable.

Bills: WR Gabe Davis, LB Tyrel Dodson, S Taylor Rapp, CB Rasul Douglas, LB Terrel Bernard, CB Taron Johnson, P Sam Martin, and LB Baylon Spector are questionable. QB Josh Allen is probable.

KC battled through the weather in the Wild Card round to defeat Miami in the fourth-coldest game in NFL history. QB Patrick Mahomes paced the path for the Chiefs with 262 yards, connecting with rookie receiver Rashee Rice eight times for 130 yards and a score. The electric Dolphins' offense generated only 264 total yards and was held to 1-for-12 on third down.

Kansas City scores 21.8 points per game (15th) and averages 351.3 total yards (9th), including 246.4 passing yards (6th) and 104.9 rushing yards (19th). It converts 43.4 percent of its third-down attempts (6th) and scores a touchdown on 52.2 percent of its red zone trips (19th).

The Chiefs surrender 17.3 points per game (2nd) and their opponents average 289.9 total yards (2nd), including 176.5 passing yards (4th) and 113.2 rushing yards (18th). They accumulated 57 sacks (2nd) and eight interceptions (2 8th) during the regular season.
