Kansas City Chiefs at Chicago Bears – 8/13/22 NFL Picks and Prediction

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Chicago Bears in a preseason game at Solder Field in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday afternoon.

The Kansas City Chiefs were 12-5 during the regular season last year and lost in the AFC Championship Game by a score of 27-24 in overtime to the Cincinnati Bengals. Kansas City will be excited to get back onto the field and forget about blowing their big lead in last year’s AFC Title Game. Andy Reid has said that his starters will play for about a quarter before being pulled, meaning we will see Patrick Mahomes in this game. After Mahomes is done for the night, we should see Chad Henne, Dustin Crum, and Shane Buechele. One player to watch for Kansas City is wide receiver Skyy Moore, who is a rookie and has looked very good in camp.

The Chicago Bears were 6-11 during the regular season last year and did not make the playoffs. Chicago is entering this season with a new head coach, Matt Eberflus, who will be trying to make a good first impression at Soldier Field. Justin Fields should start this game and play a series or two before giving way to Trevor Siemian and Nathan Peterman. Chicago doesn’t have a ton of “great” skill position players, leaving the door open for anyone that can impress during these games. One player to watch for Chicago is wide receiver Tajae Sharpe, who is looking to play his way into a higher profile spot heading into the season.
