Kansas at West Virginia 9/10/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Kansas Jayhawks and West Virginia Mountaineers face off on Saturday in a Week 2 Big 12 college football showdown at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Kansas hopes this is the year they finally turn around their season, and they looked impressive first game of the season. Kansas opened up the season against Tennessee Tech and they put up 56 points on the way to the easy victory. At the end of the first quarter, Kansas was up 21-0. Under center for Kansas is Jalon Daniels and he completed 15 of his 18 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Running back Devin Neal only had four carries and he rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Lawrence Arnold had a big game with four catches for 56 yards. The defense is going to be tested more in this game, and it’s going to be important the defense is better here.

On the other side of this matchup is West Virginia and they lost their first game of the season against Pittsburgh 38-31. West Virginia played well for most of the game, but they blew it late with a pick-six and the defense imploding. Under center for Pitt is Kedon Slovis and he completed 16 of his 24 passes for 308 yards and a touchdown. Rodney Hammon Jr had a big game with 16 carries for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Jared Wayne had a big game catching three passes for 89 yards. The defense really struggled in their last game against Pitt and that will need to be improved upon here.
